The department focuses on areas related to the economic, financial, legislative, managerial and marketing implications of sustainability of the construction industry and construction projects. It focuses on knowledge systems for information sharing in the construction sector on the platform of smart technologies.
The department is involved in education in the study programmes of the Faculty of Civil Engineering TUKE in the field of economics, costs, prices, budgeting, calculations, controlling, management, marketing and information systems in the construction industry.
The scientific research activity of the department is focused on complex approaches to the economic context of construction and construction projects, with significant support for the use of information technology for digitalization and virtualization of projects. The department is oriented towards solving scientific problems in the topics of economic sustainability of construction, key performance indicators of construction projects, use of information and communication technologies and their application for the needs of digitalization and modeling of economic parameters of construction.
