Center of Digital Technologies in Construction

The Center of Digital Technologies in Construction focuses its research activities on transforming the construction industry by integrating digital technologies into all processes and phases of the building life cycle. Its main mission is to explore approaches and create concepts focused on construction efficiency, comprehensive sustainability, cooperation, and modernization in all phases of the building life cycle based on the use and management of data and information.

Basic and applied research is based on a holistic approach integrating building information modeling (BIM), advanced decision-making methods, artificial intelligence (AI) tools, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and robotics to streamline workflows and construction management and optimize the economic and social value of construction projects. The center applies elements of digitalization in the development of smart materials, structural elements, and systems, as well as innovative construction management systems.

It creates digital twins with the aim of automating, increasing productivity, and minimizing the environmental impact of construction. To demonstrate the practical benefits of these technologies, the center focuses on pilot projects that showcase real-world applications of digital tools in construction and support the creation of a digital ecosystem in the industry.
