The Institute of Structural Engineering and Transportation Structures focuses on design, fabrication, diagnostics and development of new technologies in the entire range of areas of geotechnics, load-bearing structures, civil engineering and transport structures. Teaching activities and part of theoretical and experimental research follows the requirements of partners from practice and brings innovations. Through basic and applied research, it contributes to the development of structures and transport structures, methods for their analysis with regard to sustainability, and develops adaptive structures capable of withstanding extreme conditions using artificial intelligence, and strives to be an inspiration and leader in this field. In its activities, the Institute uses state-of-the-art software, hardware and experimental equipment and virtual and shared reality elements concentrated in the Institute's innovation center.
