Green Innovative Moving Entrepreneurship - September 2023

Dear students,

greetings from Celje, Slovenia, and International School for Social and Business Studies. On behalf of the organizing team, I would like to extend a warm welcome to each of you. We are excited to let you know that we still have open spaces for the Erasmus summer school in September 2023 named Green Innovative Moving Entrepreneurship, which will be held from 4 to 14 September 2023 at International School for Social and Business Studies in Celje (Slovenia). The summer school is a partnered endeavor of European universities and faculties from Slovenia, Portugal, Poland, and Romania.

Title: "Green Innovative Moving Entrepreneurship (GIME)" under the Blended Intensive Program (BIP).

Timeline: Intensive 9-day in-person program from 4th to 14th September 2023 + virtual meetings.

Green Focus: The program fosters creativity and innovation in the field of sustainable mobility, particularly eco-friendly bike solutions.

Real-life Application: The New Bike Company, a Slovenian company of green mobility, serves as the program's case study.

Course Structure: Participants engage in hands-on workshops, focusing on creating innovative, environmentally friendly business models.

Academic Recognition: Participants earn 6 ECTS credits upon completion. English proficiency at B2 level is required.

Guidance: Professors provide comprehensive support throughout the course.

Outcome: Students create innovative business ideas supporting green mobility, forming a base for potential startups and franchising opportunities.

Participant's Role: Participants contribute to the global green transition in the business and mobility sectors, promoting sustainable practices.

Welcome Party: Kick off the program with a vibrant welcome party on day one, encouraging networking and camaraderie among participants.

Additional Activities: Enjoy cultural and recreational activities including city tours, treasure hunts, and an international cooking activity where participants showcase traditional dishes from their home countries.

Accommodation and Meals: Affordable housing is provided at the MCC hostel, with low-cost options for breakfast and lunch.

By participating in the BIP, students will engage in a holistic learning and cultural experience that promotes creativity, innovation, and sustainability.

Guidelines for OLA

- The International School for Social and Business Studies is connected with the EWP network and accepts Online Learning Agreements, as explained above.
- Please open the following link and register yourself: https://www.learning-agreement.eu/. You will be asked to fill out the receiving and sending institution data. As to the receiving university, you will be needing the data displayed below.

- Please also make sure to write the correct contact and responsible person of your sending institution also. I am guessing that your coordinator will be the correct person for this information.

- Be sure to write the responsible person for your mobility, who will be responsible for signing the agreement, and the institutional coordinator correctly in all forms.

- For the course in table A of OLA you choose our subject Innovation in Business, which will be implemented within the summer school Green Innovative Moving Entrepreneurship. In Table B you write down the 6 ECTS course/subject of your university/faculty which will be recognized at your university upon the completion of this summer school.

- After the OLA is signed by you and your home responsible person, the ISSBS responsible person will be signing it.

- If your university is not connected to EWP, please send a paper version of the agreement, signed by you and the responsible person of your institution.

Prices:

Overnight stay in a multi-bedroom: 17.1 EUR

Overnight stay in a double room per person: 20.7 EUR

Breakfast: 4.5 EUR

Lunch 6.5 EUR

Dinner: 7.5 EUR

Welcome day and/or party

Welcome day and or party will be organized for you upon your arrival with the cooperation of MCC staff. They also offer many additional activities which you can check here on the web page: https://www.mc-celje.si/en/Groups_offer/

We are also announcing that we will be hosting a special international event dinner to celebrate our cultures and foster collaboration. To make this event even more meaningful, we kindly request each of you to bring a local ingredient from your country upon arrival, so each group of a certain country will be asked to prepare a small signature dish or drink. This will provide a unique opportunity for you to showcase your culinary heritage and engage in a cultural exchange. We are looking forward to your participation.

 

Moodle E-classroom

Upon your application, you will be enrolled in our Moodle e-classroom, where you will have access to lecture materials, a schedule, and the ability to communicate with your teachers and fellow students. This e-classroom will serve as a centralized hub for academic resources and collaborative discussions, enhancing your learning experience throughout the summer school.

The second virtual meeting is already planned to be in late August, we will keep you posted and you will receive this information with the zoom link on time.
