Stavebníctvo je nadčasový a perspektívny odbor, ktorý ponúka množstvo pracovných príležitostí doma aj v zahraničí. Prihláste sa na štúdium u nás. Nebudete len sedieť v laviciach a počúvať prednášky. Zapojíte sa do rôznych laboratórnych cvičení, experimentálnych testov, konkrétnych projektov, exkurzií a stáží. Budete spojení s praxou, kde si overíte svoje teoretické vedomosti. Naučíte sa používať najnovšie nástroje a metódy na navrhovanie a posudzovanie stavebných diel. Vytvoríme Vám priestor pre Váš odborný rast. Rozšírte rady odborníkov v stavebníctve!

Invitation for the craft workshops for international researchers (including PhD. students) in Slovakia

Are you interested to find out more about the Slovak folk art, learn a traditional Slovak craft technique and make your own unique souvenir? EURAXESS Slovakia at SAIA, n. o., invites you to join the craft workshops for international researchers (including PhD. students) in Slovakia that will be held on 23 April in Zlatovce Cultural Center in Trenčín from 3-5 PM and on 24 and 25 April in Bratislava in Centre for Folk Art Production (ÚĽUV) from 4-6 PM. You will be working in the small groups guided by the experienced tutors and have a chance to try one of the following traditional Slovak craft techniques:

Trenčín:

  • woodcarving (rezbárstvo), 
  • corn husk figurines (šúpolie),
  • leather stamping (razenie do kože),
  • embroidery with a curved needle (krivá ihla). 

Bratislava: 

  • painting on glass (maľba na sklo)
  • wire crafting (drotárstvo), 
  • corn husk figurines (šúpolie),
  • batik textile art (batika). 

The workshops are free of charge for PhD students and international researchers. In addition, you can take the hand-made product you create on the workshop with you as your unique souvenir. 
Difficulty: Don´t worry if you lack a craft, the workshops are suitable for beginners. 
Important note: Due to limited capacity in the craft workshops, participant registration is necessary. Please, mind that a person can register only for one of the workshops (23, 24 or 25 April).
Should multiple registrations of one participant are being recorded, the organisers can decide on the place and date of the participation or even disregard such registrations. 

Family members of researchers are also welcome (upon prior registration together with the researcher), however, workshops are intended for adults and are not suitable for children.
Upon registration, the selected participants will receive the confirmation email with further instructions, while other participants will be notified to be put on the waiting list. First-come first-served principle will be applied.

We kindly ask you that if you register for the workshop, and are selected for participation, but are unable to attend (or your family member), please inform us as soon as possible (but optimally at least 48 hours prior the event) via email at euraxess@saia.sk. This will allow us to offer your spot to other interested candidates on the waiting list. In the absence of a notice, 30 EUR might be charged to you as a refund of the tutoring fee that has been incurred. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us manage the event smoothly.
