Study program Structural and Transport Engineering (SP STE), second degree of study, is focused on education in the field of designing, constructing and operating the load-bearing structures of engineering and building constructions, traffic structures made of concrete, steel, timber and from other materials, as well as for solving geotechnical issues. Graduate of the study program meets the expectations of the practice, the labor market and society for the performance of the profession and has developed abilities to educate independently. Graduates of the master's degree in the study program Structural and Transport Engineering (SP STE) will acquire the knowledge, skills and competences necessary for deepening and expanding the basic and specialized theoretical training for designing, constructing and operating the load-bearing structures of engineering and building constructions, traffic structures made of concrete, steel, timber and from other materials, as well as for solving geotechnical issues. Emphasis is placed on the graduate acquiring the necessary knowledge for the theoretical analysis of engineering and building structures, enabling him to design safe, user-friendly, durable and aesthetic structures with the widest possible application of computing technology. An important part of comprehensive training is the development of independence and creativity, so that the graduate, after adequate practice, can manage a team of workers, know how to independently lead even large projects and can take responsibility for their complex technical solutions. An integral part of the graduate profile of this study program is experimental and diagnostic works, as well as methods and procedures for evaluating the obtained data.
Theoretical knowledge
Graduate of the study program:
- able to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding of the theoretical cognitions of natural science disciplines for professional training,
- has theoretical knowledge of calculation methods, principles and procedures for reliable and economical design of engineering structures, transport structures and load-bearing structures of buildings,
- has the ability to use, integrate and develop basic theoretical knowledge in the design and realization of demanding engineering structures and load-bearing structures of buildings,

- can understand essential facts, concepts, principles and rules related to engineering structures and building structures, can use them in practical activities in a way that demonstrates understanding of the context and consequences of alternative solutions and decisions,
- able to understand the basic principles and procedures for the realization of various types of engineering structures and building structures; can comprehensively handle related organizational and technological tasks,
- able to manage and control technological construction procedures,

The program Architectural engineering focuses on expanding knowledge within technical-architectural education. The broad multidisciplinary profile of the graduate is designed to cover the legislation of construction project documentation in the scope of architectural and engineering services and related consultancy. It enables graduates to manage project teams of technical specialists in architecture and take responsibility for the complexity of this solution. Emphasis is placed on the graduate actively and creatively completing education based on construction-architectural studio creations, individually or in teams under the guidance of a group of teachers, which is considered a principled learning method to achieve his synergistic knowledge, skills and attitudes. Direct and personal interventions of teachers in the project design process, as well as discussions about it, are an essential part of architectural education and the ability to communicate conclusions, knowledge and justifications of their solutions in a regional but also wider framework.
Graduate of the study program expands their technical-architectural education during his studies, has developed educational skills that allow him to continue lifelong self-education. The broad multidisciplinary profile of the graduate is designed in such a way that it covers knowledge from the legislation of project documentation of buildings in the scope of complex architectural and engineering services and related consultancy. The graduate has the ability to manage project teams of specialists for the design and renovation of sustainable and intelligent buildings, respecting their complexity and innovative solutions in a real economic environment. The profile of the graduate is particularly shaped by education based on construction-architectural studio creations, conducted individually or in teams, which is a principled teaching method for achieving synthetic knowledge, skills and attitudes of the graduate, the use of these knowledge and skills and their integration. The intervention of teachers in the process of design and technical development of the project, as well as discussions about it, are an essential part of architectural education and lead students to clear and unambiguous communication of conclusions and their justification.

- knows how to use the theory, methods, ways, principles, and concepts of the structural design of buildings, their physical and static analysis, techniques, and environmental design of the building environment,
- uses the analysis of the physical, chemical, and biological components of the indoor environment of buildings, he can creatively design building structures and environmental technology systems,
- can integrate knowledge from the theoretical and technical creation of environmentally suitable and energy-efficient buildings with automated control systems and formulate decisions with a feeling for the acceptance of the architectural design of buildings,
- creatively solves problems by compiling mathematical-physical models associated with mass and energy transport, modeling processes taking place in simple and complex environmental systems of buildings,
- creatively applies acquired knowledge in project and implementation practice.

Graduate of the program
- demonstrates knowledge of experimental methods of analysis and assessment of the level of environmental safety and systems of environmental technology in the interest of creating an architectural environment,
- uses modern computational experiments based on dynamic simulations processes and modeling of the indoor environment of buildings, elements of the environmental system, the field of transmission of environmental agents associated with the optimization of the environmental and energy concept of the building while accepting the systemic link between the building and the environment,
- integrates knowledge from the creation and application of models of the external environment used in dynamic model simulation of buildings and their environment,
- knows how to use current trends in the environment technology of modern architecture of intelligent buildings and creatively solves the use of alternative, environmentally suitable energy sources,
- has developed educational skills in the field of designing with the support of computer graphics as well as other up-to-date software support,
- communicates conclusions and justifications in the optimization of the technical design process by integrating construction and environmental technology into one environmentally suitable and economically efficient functional unit - a building,
- has developed abilities to work independently in scientific research in the field of creating buildings and their environment,
- uses acquired knowledge and skills in fulfilling the role of coordinator of interdisciplinary tasks.

A graduate of the program knows how to creatively and effectively use complex mathematical and software apparatus. He can integrate knowledge, formulate decisions and work effectively as an individual, as a member of a work team and as its leader. He has a developed need for continuous professional development and further education. He maintains professional contact with the latest developments in science and knowledge in his discipline on a European scale by communicating his conclusions, he follows appropriate practices in accordance with the professional, legal and ethical framework of the discipline.
A graduate of the study program Technology and management in civil engineering has knowledge in the field of planning, management and coordination of the construction of complex architectural, civil engineering and water structures in terms of efficiency, optimization of construction projects within the entire construction life cycle, preparation and management of the production of construction products and materials, management of companies focused on the supply of construction and engineering activities and conducting research with a high degree of creativity and independence. The graduate is able to apply specialized knowledge systems and building information models, including the use of digitization and virtualization tools within the entire life cycle of buildings. Graduates of the Master`s program are able to plan, manage and coordinate the construction of complex architectural, civil engineering and water structures in terms of efficiency, optimize construction projects within the entire construction life cycle, prepare and manage the production of construction products and materials, manage companies focused on the delivery of construction and engineering activities and carry out research with a high degree of creativity and independence. The emphasis is on the graduate to acquire deep knowledge in the field of technological, economic and environmental aspects of construction, to know how to manage a team of workers in the field of construction preparation and implementation, to be able to independently manage even large projects and to take responsibility for their complex solutions. The graduate is able to apply and develop acquired theoretical knowledge, analyze systems, optimize procedures and solutions using specialized knowledge systems and information models of buildings, including the use of digitization and virtualization tools within the entire life cycle of buildings. Graduates of the study are able to understand and solve the problems of the construction industry at the regional and international level.
